A happy memory for a happy Mother's Day

Just a quick story has been posted in honor of Mother's Day. I chose to share a happy memory to illustrate how, even though my mother could sometimes be difficult, she was often very kind and always willing to go the extra mile to make someone happy--even me.

The Adventure begins....
So soon I find myself distracted by the lure of writing. Even though I seem to be lacking a good rant, I have a strong desire to write something here, today, just to get things started. My hope is that, with the aid of my students and their fearless optimism, something that may appear on these pages will be worthy of reading. Only through dedication, observation, and practice may I hope to live up to their expectations.
